Marton has worked in the furniture transport and removals business since 2000 beginning his career as a delivery-man for an antique company on Sydney's lower North Shore. Whilst working there he learnt many important skills in the art of handling delicate and valuable furniture and develpoed a passion for antiques. In 2003 he enrolled himself in the cabinet-makers apprenticeship course at Lidcombe TAFE which is Australia's leading furniture-making school. One of his hobbies is building furniture and restoring old pieces. It really is satisfying to bring something old and beautiful back to it's former glory.
All of our staff benefit from one-to-one training with Marton and know the best way to handle your furniture. Everyone is taught how to appraise a piece before they lift it so that they can identify its strong points and weak points and instantly know the safest to pick it up.
From 2006 to 2008, Marton worked as the NSW Logistics and Delivery Co-ordinator for a nation-wide Australian manufacturer of prestige furniture. He now brings these organisational skills to Major's Removals to ensure that your move is smooth and well-organised.
