It was in 2013, not long after I had recovered from an eating disorder, I realised I needed to make a lifestyle change. While the eating disorder doesn’t define me or why our home was cluttered, it is a part of the journey that had a huge impact on my life. What my recovery did was open my eyes to the physical clutter in my life. It let me see it for what it was - a never-ending to-do list and a constant source of stress.
Deep down I knew I wanted to find calm and freedom in our home. It was a difficult realisation to make, however once my eyes were open to the clutter it became impossible to ignore. In the Autumn of 2013, I finally made the bold decision to commit the changes I was looking for, and pursue the life I felt I was meant to live.
